We’re still in the game

Matt seems like he’s always been in the game — of Ultimate that is — whereas I have been slacking as of late. A couple weekends ago, I played with Purple Leisure up in Chico. The weather was blazing and it was obvious I was out of shape. Most of the motivation to start playing again was from my friend, and bridesmaid, Sara. Strangely enough, it was so much fun that I agreed to another tournament. I think hanging out with Sara and the YR boys (Matt’s men’s team) had something to do with it.
Yesterday we woke up while it was still dark to play at the polo fields in Golden Gate Park. Matt even decided to play with our team! We played five games, instead of the normal four, and it was really lumpy. And this time the weather was much colder. Even though I have been hobbling around in pain all day, I had a great time again. Why have I been keeping away from the game I love?

So i was very active this weekend. We played soccer on Saturday morning (I scored the first goal and blocked the ball with my body). That made Matthew and I both super sore! But then Sunday night, a friend called and said they were playing glow in the dark frisbee. I decided to go and got a sweet game of ultimate going. At one point, someone threw the frisbee to me and I caught it, then rolled on the ground (cuz I fell, maybe I dove, who knows) and got up and threw it kinda half upa nd half down. That throw scored. You would have been proud! haha
Nice!
